"I found this an entirely remarkable recital, one of the best I’ve heard in recent years. Highly recommended."
Lynn René Bayley – Fanfare (USA) 2014
“Her voice arches impeccably across three centuries of robust music, in six languages, Plowright’s well-structured address is impressive.” George Fleeton – Dublin Arts File 2014
Unlike some recital records, repeated listening to this one confirmed my view of how well it has captured her voice. Not in the sense of hi-fi demonstration recording, but that it really does sound like Plowright in the flesh which is quite a significant feat for recording a large dramatic voice. A recital disc such as this will never be a library choice of any of the items on it, but should be essential listening for any lovers of great voices and fine singing. Robert Hugill – Planet Hugill 2014
Her voice is surprisingly youthful. It is a wise voice, she knows exactly what she is doing with it.. The disc comes to a glorious climax as Frank Bridge puts on his Rachmaninov hat for Love went a’riding, a fine challenge for both singer and pianist, and Philip Mountford, who is a sensitive yet incisive accompanist throughout, and Rosalind Plowright, rise to the challenge triumphantly. Graham Spicer – Gramilano – 2014
